Auromine Retail POS — questions shopkeepers ask
Is Auromine Retail POS free?
There is a free plan, and every shop starts with a 21-day trial of the complete product. When the trial ends nothing stops working — an unlicensed shop moves onto the free plan and keeps billing. Paid plans start at ₹699 a year per shop, which is roughly a tenth of what the better-known Indian billing apps charge.
Does it work without internet?
Yes. Billing at the counter works offline on every plan and syncs when the connection returns. A dropped line or a power cut does not stop you issuing a bill — which is the whole reason a cloud-only biller is wrong for an Indian high street.
Can I use a barcode scanner and a thermal printer?
Yes. Any USB or Bluetooth scanner that types works, and printing supports silent 2-inch, 3-inch and 4-inch label output as well as A4. Shelf and product labels print from the same screen.
Does it print GST invoices?
Yes. CGST and SGST split for intra-state, IGST for inter-state, tax-inclusive or exclusive rates, round-off, and the amount in words. GSTR-1 and 3B summary output and IRP-ready JSON for e-invoicing are included.
Can more than one person use it at once?
Yes. Users and staff have their own logins and roles, and sales are attributed to the salesperson who made them. The 5 Users plan is ₹4,999 a year.
Does it handle more than one shop or godown?
Yes. Branches and godowns are separate stock locations with transfers between them, and stock, sales and reports can be read per branch or together.
Which shops is it built for?
Supermarkets and grocery, apparel and footwear, mobile and electronics, hardware, gift and stationery, and general stores. Batch and expiry tracking is there for shops that need it. Named shops running it today include Happy Store, Sri Mahaveer Store, Mafco, Stylo Bag, Couture, Red Oak and Pizza Republic.
Can I move my existing data in?
Yes. Products, categories, parties and opening balances import from Excel or CSV, and everything exports the same way. Assisted migration from another biller is a one-off ₹2,999.
